This story begins in a museum. It is a very nice old museum. It’s filled with wonderful artefacts of all types of dinosaurs. People didn’t care though they really didn’t appreciate it.

People didn’t come anymore because they said ‘oh I’d rather watch TV, or why bother.’ Little did they realise there are many interesting facts and great history about them.

One day the lovely old Professor who owned the museum came over to a tour guide who was his grandchild, and cried “I’ll have to close down – no-one comes anymore.”

The boy, who name is Geoff, said, “Oh no! You can’t do that.”

Geoff’s brain ticked over and he asked his friend Lisa whether the idea he had was any good. She thought so, and they went and told his grandfather.

The next day Geoff and all his friends had a massive carwash, but they weren’t very good at it. They scrubbed the cars with steel wool and had muddy water in the buckets and in the end the cars’ owners threatened to sue them instead of paying them. So that was a disaster.

They sat down and thought again. This time Lisa came up with the idea. It was to host a talent show. So on Friday they put posters up all around the town, but the day arrived and no-one came to the show.

The next day Geoff and Lisa went to the Professor and told him they had tried their best but had failed. Suddenly the Professor let out a scream of joy. “Why not go looking for dinosaur bones?’  he said.

Both Lisa and Geoff thought  it a great idea-  they’d always wanted to go travelling around the world. They picked a type of dinosaur they wanted to look for and booked planes and started to pack. They took off  that night and got to Africa at 12 noon. They knew the bones were in Africa so they started Nort. They explored all of North Africa and let me tell you I’m not lying. Then they went East, then South. They were then so exhausted they collapsed on a riverbank.

They finally got to West Africa. Little did they know that was the area where the bones were. Suddenly they saw a glimpse of white. They started to dig. Then out of nowhere there was a whole collection of bones.

They took the bones back to England. They were a hit. They’d accidentally discovered a whole new species of dinosaur. Floods of people poured into the Professor’s museum, and it didn’t have to close.

It’s still  open today.
